How ADRs before MK opens work?

Could anyone explain to me how the ADRs that are before park opening works? For example, a 8 am at Crystal Palace when MK opens at 9. How does it work out with Disney transportation from the All Star resorts. Also, how long do you allow for security? The CM when I booked said 20 minutes, since it was early, but I'm thinking that doesn't sound right when they tell you 1 hour all the other times.

You are going at a great time... It is great to get into the park at 8:00... Make sure you take your pic on Main Street when it is empty...

When the CM suggests giving yourself an hour to arrive they are including travel time... An hour is a very long time for security... We have gone at busy times of the year/day and it has never taken nearly that long... I am thinking 20 minutes is the longest we have ever waited.

There will be buses from your resort to the MK that early... You should plan to be at the bus stop by 7:15... That should give you plenty of time to get to MK, through security and on to CP...

By the way, make sure you have your confirmation #... The check a list for your name... You want that confirm # in case your name is missing from the list... They won't let you in early without the ADR.

After you get through security you need to make sure that you get in the correct line at the turnstile. Last year when I went it was the turnstile all the way to the left and there was a large sign saying it was for people with early ADRs. And definitely take your ADR #, just in case.

Getting in early is great! Especially if you're done with breakfast before 9 when they open the turnstiles for everyone....you'll already be at the other end of Main Street!

So... when you are done with breakfast do you wait in another line for the park to open? Or will the park be open before they let you leave? Pardon the confusion. We've never been.

If you sit down to eat around 8:00 you likely will be coming out just around the time when the park opens... It takes a while to eat and see all the characters... Then of course there is going to the bathroom before heading into the park... CP bathroom is tiny... If you ARE done early, you can go out into the park before it officially opens but the rides won't be open yet.

You won't be able to walk all the way around the park before it opens. You have to wait for the rope drop at each section. But it is amazing to be the in park before it opens. That is the best time to get picture of the castle!
