How accurate is the accuweather 15 day forecast???

I wanna be a Florida weatherman:

Today: Mostly sunny; chance of thunderstorms as the day progresses.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny; chance of thunderstorms as the day progresses.

Day after: Mostly sunny; chance of thunderstorms as the day progresses.

Accu-weather is as reliable as any weather-personality. Even a 5-day forecast is sketchy.

I over check the 15 day forecast too. Even if it rains there is still lots to do! S

We'll be fine. The weather in Florida is not easy to predict at this time of year, it's pretty hot so it gets humid to the point of bursting so late afternoon there will almost always be a shower to let the system blow off some steam.

I'll be there in a few and I'll tell you how it goes! :)

I live down here and most of the time I don't even trust the NOW cast let alone the 5 day or 15 day. They can be talking about severe thunder storms and 2 miles away the sun is shinning. They only way to really know what the weather is like is to look up see what you see.

When I used to work on the space shuttle safety team during launch countdowns, the weather for Florida was a top priority. The forecasts were always garbage until we hit a 48 hr window. The prediction models that the computers use are at best case 50/50 whenever you look beyond 48 hours from now. If the Spaceflight Meteorology group at NASA won't hang their hat on anything beyond 48 hours, you know you can't believe a 15 day forecast. Accuweather will give you a general idea of what trends are expected, but not necessarily on what day the trends start/stop.

I haven't found this site to be very accurate and I've noticed that forecasts often change.

keithomas is right on the money. As a former meteorology student who still has friends in the forecasting business I can vouch for what he said. You can usually get a decent forecast 2-3 days ahead. Otherwise forget it. If you waste your time following the day-to-day forecast trends 2 weeks out you will drive yourself crazy worrying over nothing.

When preparing for your trip, pack in anticipation of the climate, not the forecast.

LOL! That's TOO funny!

As others have noted, 15 days is pure GUESSWORK! Far to many things can change in that much time.
