How accurate are the wait times on MDE app ?

Just got back. Found the wait times on the app to be pretty much accurate.

The wait times in the MDE app are direct from Disney's system and should match the wait time posted at the stand by entrance. Disney tends to pad the wait times, so your actual wait could be less.

The wait times on the app match the posted times in the parks, which generally are overstated. I find the TP Lines app to be more accurate, plus it shows the posted times along with the actual expected times.

I find that the wait times are accurate in the sense that it represents the longest wait time possible. The actual wait time for every attraction has been equal or less time than what is posted. Once it gave me a 40 min wait for Splash Mountain and I walked right on. Some attractions are better at being accurate than others.
