How accurate are the menus on the wdw dining app for iphone?

And how do they get updated? Do they update based on public info (i.e., Disney website, allears, etc.) or do they have people check the menus?

if they're using the websites you mention, would not count on accuracy at all. Even the Disney menu pdf on their own dining websites are not necessarily up to date. We've dined at restaurants the same day we checked the Disney website menu and had a different menu in the actual restaurants. Allears & wdwinfo are often full of inaccuracies including incorrect ingredients lists, available entrees, and prices.

as soon as a menu is published it is out of date. Menus change often. I can tell here on the DIS the menus are updated regularly. Can they be out of date? Sure, a new prix fixe could pop up tomrrow

Best to use the menus as a guideline knowing that menu tweaks occur often! (Many seasonal things can be added tothe menu, think pumpkin in the fall, seasonal berries, etc)
