How 'bout it?
Lately, I've been overwhelmed with health issues (involving me and my loved ones) and depressing news in general. Parents murdering their babies, infidelities, workplace massacres, the state of the economy...you've got the picture. Somedays there's hardly any "good news" to counteract the negativity.
So -- this is the place to share your good news with the rest of us! Whether it's a new job, new baby, successful surgery, found money, cancer-free diagnosis, or sharing a "paying it forward" story, please share it here!
I'll start.
Earlier this week, my DD15 apparently dropped her Ipod in the hospital parking lot without knowing it. The next day, she got a message thru Facebook asking if she lost an Ipod at the hospital (her name is engraved on the back). Seems like some wonderful, honest 18-year-old guy had found it and searched her name on the internet and found her Facebook page. She was over the moon!!! Turns out he lives 3 counties away, but last night, he met halfway to return the ipod to my DD (don't worry -- Dad went with her!!)
My DD was so happy and surprised. She knew how easy it would have been for this perfect stranger to pocket the ipod, or sell it and walk away with an extra $100 in his pocket. Not only did he NOT do that, he took the extra step to searching for her to return it.
What a great kid!!!!
