How about pictures of alcoholic drinks?

There are a lot of people out there who like it! I also like to be able to taste the alcohol in my drinks... but I don't know... there was something different about that drink.

Does anyone have the recipe. I'll try to recreate it at home and see what happens!

Here's the best I can find for info on the Backscratcher

Made with light and dark rum, Passion Fruit juice, topped with a secret ingredient

It's a Tangierine Daiquiri, and I bought it at the back of the Tangierine. It was flavorful, but not too strong. And it came in a plastic glass with "Tangierine" written on it, making that an nice and unexpected keepsake.

I've heard very good things about the drinks from Tangierine Cafe. I believe they are fairly resonably priced also.

What's POG juice?

Thank god you guys bumped this thread! I have to go pick up wine for my anniversary dinner tonight!

Sorry I looked this up after I posted the recipe and I found this on Wikipedia: "POG is a tropical drink created by Haleakala Dairy on Maui, Hawaii that consists of a blend of juices from passionfruit, orange, and guava fruits (hence the P.O.G.).

POG comes in three sizes, the 12 oz "Viva Pep" size, the 1 liter carton size, as well as the gallon jug (typically found at wholesale stores). In addition, 8 oz carton sizes are served in many schools across the state of Hawaii."

Which drink packs more punch.....the Grey Goose Lemon Slush from France or the frozen Margaritas from Mexico????

i've had both, and couldn't taste the alcohol whatsoever in the grey goose, but could in the margarita. neither are very strong, but i *think* the margarita wins out. could be wrong though, since vodka is easier to hide than tequila, in my case anyway.

the citrus mist looks delish - and the backscratcher sounds VERY yummy

The Tune In Lounge next to 50's Prime Time has Singapore Slings and they will knock you out:)

I LOVE the Tune In Lounge! The glassware reminds me of my parent's bar!

I'll have to try their singapore sling. I usually just pop in for a refresher beer. MGM gets really hot, and requires much beer to survive. I think we're eating at Prime Time this trip, too.

btw, great drink porn thread. I'll have to get some pics this trip.

The blue glow-tini that I tried last time was a bit disappointing. After you removed the over-sized glowing plastic ice cube there was maybe an ounce of drink in there!:confused3

We found this to be disappointing as well, but you can still order the specialty drinks if you remember their names... one of our must haves is Hurricane Hannah @ The Beach Club ask Rita to make you one she is the best.....

I'm confused by this... by the looks of the pictures (and the sounds from the menu) it seems like many of hte drinks are specialty of the place (Marcia's martian from sci fi, poly has a lot of seemingly unique drinks). Which places do not have a unique specialty menu?

Hi everyone, I will be drinking around the world and than some on Saturday with DH. We are going for the weekend with NO KIDS!!!! I will be sure to bring back as many drink pictures as I can.
