How about Nextel reception?

Since the national 2 way service is rolling out.. has anyone used Nextel inside the parks. I am wondering if I am going to just be able to use my nextel or if I am going to need my 2-way's.

My DH has Nextel and last trip we had no problems with reception in and around WDW.

We purchased our Nextel phones just before our trip at Easter, expressly for the purpose of communicating back and forth in the parks. We had NO problem whatsoever. In fact, I called a coworker while on Space Mountain to share the thrill! He said it was just like being there! Nextel is awesome! Be sure to set the ring option to VIBRATE. The best part was that our plan provided free long distance, so we could call back and forth when the party separated and never paid a cent, as opposed to Cingular last year. Bad service, outrageous prices (long distance, roaming, out of area = YIKES!)

We used our Nextels last month and they worked great! Nextel is the best cell phone service we've had and we've been thru approx. 4 of them. The 2 way worked great and we have free long distance on our plan and calling Boston from WDW was crystal clear, no problems at all.

I concur - our Nextel's worked great. Direct Connect is perfect for Disney. We had several folks think they were FRS radio's and ask where we got them. The only dead spot we found was in It's a Bugs Life (and the preshow area).
