How about guests at the resort pool?

Along the lines of the recent threads on pool hopping is this situation. My brother lives in the Tampa area and I'm trying to convince them to visit us at WDW on our last day. Money is tight for them so I'm proposing that we don't go to the parks but just hang out and let the cousins play together. Can I in good conscience take them to the pool while they're visiting us? We are staying at the Poly. Will they be allowed to park there? Opinions?

If you ask at the front desk if you can have guests and they say OK it won't be a problem.

I have done that when my family would come to visit for a day while I am at one of the resorts (and Poly was one of them). I had asked about them parking & visiting & swiming..and was told it was ok. Now if the resort is at capacity and there are no parking spots and lounge chairs, I don't think I would do it. Taking that spot away from a paying guest would not be fair, but if the resorts aren't crowded, I don't see why not. When they come to visit, have them give your name & room number to the guard at the gate-house. Just this past Saturday I had my sister come & meet me, she gave my name & room number and they allowed her in. We didn't swim or do the parks, we just went shopping together for the day. While we were out shopping, my mom stayed in the room (she came with my sister) watching TV. They spent from about 3pm-8pm with me and there were no problems....
