Just read an article today about how Amazon is close to opening its first public convenience store where customers can walk in, take what they need off the shelf, and walk out and their account will automatically be charged, no waiting in line required.
How awesome would it be if Disney integrated this technology into their shops? Some of the longest lines I've waited on is to buy store merchandise, especially during busy times, and when I have fast passes for all the rides I want to do.
You could walk into the store, touch your band to the merchandise tag (or tag on the shelf), and either walk out with your purchase without waiting in line, or, if you're staying on property, just walk out and it magically appears at your hotel later...would save all that time filling out the paperwork!
