:cool2:"I think we should suggest it to the powers that be at Disney.
Drinks(alcoholic) are so darn expensive at the World.
I think a drinking add on plan would be a hit."
(as suggested by my dh on the way home from camp yesterday)

They have the wine add on but one for non wine drinkers would be good too..

Maybe a ticket system where you could pre pay and have a lower price per beverage??? I would TOTALLY do that!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

They have such things on the cruise and that would work much better than the current Wine plan - which is sort of like the one they offer on the cruise but not as flexible and (it seems to me) much more expensive. The cruise also has a refillable beer mug with a small discount on the refills.

To avoid confusion they might need to call it the Disney Intoxicants Plan (DIP)

Not funny..............

Just because one likes to enjoy a adult beverage does NOT mean we are out to get drunk or intoxicated!! Trust me here those days are looooong gone for me and add to it my kids will be with me, e-nuff said........:headache:

I am game sign me up!!!!

I would gladly pay extra for a adult bev plan............

My DH would LOVE this!!!!

He still complains he can't get a beer at MK.:rotfl2:

what's wrong with "intoxicants?" I buy a few myself at WDW. Doesn't mean one necessarily always overindulges in them because alcoholic beverages are called "intoxicants."

Now the Disney Overindulgency Plan might be a problem.

Especially after seeing all the wonderful pics of drinks on the dis boards! I have a list a mile long of ones I want to try. A plan would be awesome.

Here's my plan: Drive to a grocery store/liquor store and buy for the whole trip, take it to the room, and fill the fridge with it. Good plan?;)

I love your idea, but I think WDW makes a huge profit on alcohol, and they would like to keep consumption down to a dull roar. Wouldn't want Epcot to stand for "Every Person Comes Out Trashed";)

Haaa!!! That is hilarious!:rotfl2:

I think a drinking add on plan would be a hit

1) Like DDP, it has its good points.
2) Like DDP, it will hurt.
3) To make the profit, they will eliminate the top-shelf booze.
4) And people will have to drink the cheap stuff.
5) Just like DDP
. . . reduce the expensive items available
. . . make the available items common
. . . let the folks pig out on on non-unique stuff
5) I won't give up my good single malt scotch.

Sounds like a great idea! I like to sample a drink from each country at Epcot, but only make it so far each time and then dump a lot of cash

If you get yourself an AP or become a Florida Resident you can purchase the Tables in Wonderland card. It gives a 20% discount on food and beverages, including alcoholic, at a wide range of locations at WDW. This includes just about all Park and Resort table service restaurants, all lounges, and the value and moderate food courts.

I still think they should make an official Drink Around the World passport. Maybe not a discount...but they should acknowledge that many Epcot goers attempt this. :) It's a must do on every trip we take. :) Plans are already in effect to do it the day after we run the half marathon in January...as well as my bday week in September! hahaha

Well, as an alternative to going out to eat every night, DW and I will have appetizers and drinks at the different resort bars. Two appetizers and a couple of rounds of drinks is less than $60 bucks.

I don't think I would ever leave. My WDW trip would consist of 7 days at Epcot.

We saw two drunk young men at Epcot once, the only drunks I've ever seen in a Disney park really. DH and I were wondering how long it would take before they got kicked out. Then I noticed that we were in Canada at the time. I'll bet they were Drinking Around the World.

I'm not sure they made it back to the park entrance unescorted, or even on their feet for that matter, but they must have made it the entire way around the WS, at least. :rotfl:

I'd even go for a non-alcoholic drink plan. Those resort mugs just don't cut it!
