Housekeeping Tips

We will have 4 of us in the room for most of the trip, then 5 at the end. I was going to leave $10 per day in an envelope on the bathroom counter. I will write Housekeeping on the envelope so they know its for them. Do you think this is a good plan? Is $10 too much of a tip?

The rule of thumb is $1 per person per day. We have 4 people in our family and leave $5 per day. Leave tip daily, as you suggested, because mouskeepers could change daily. We also leave tip in special envelopes. Some people decorate envelopes with Disney stickers and such....there are also sites available with "thank you mousekeeping" clipart you can print out on envelopes.

dittoing magicaldisney....we use the general rule of $1/day/person in the room and leave it daily. i have been hording $1's and $5's for over a month now for these tips and the other travel related tips - so they won't cut into our spending money as much.
