Housekeeping services at the value resorts

When I go next year, say my family and I leave for the parks really early in the morning and come back 2 or 3 in the afternoon for a pool break. Will the beds be made by then? I realize there are days the values can be short on staff. I'm just thinking of the days when they're NOT low on staff.

I really haven't noticed the values being low on housekeeping staff. I think that whether or not you room is ready depends on their room cleaning schedule and your room location.

Unless it is a day with a ton of checkouts that slows them down, your room should be made up by that time.

Never had a problem with housekeeping at POP.

Anytime I returned back to the room in the afternoon, housekeeping had already been there.

I just returned from Art of Animation. Our room was done mid-afternoon when we came back. The housekeeper knocked on the door around 8:45 this morning to see if we checked out, so they were already busy.

I would call housekeeping when you leave in the morning to request it be done early if you need it for afternoon naps.

Call Housekeeping and request early service during your stay. When my DD was younger, it was important to us to have the nap/break time. Pop Century Housekeeping was very accommodating. A few times, they asked whether we wanted early service for our entire stay. I said yes, they asked what time we'd leave each day (before 8:00) and they were happy to know that we'd be gone so early. It worked excellent. I think there was one time when they were doing our room when we returned, but we just went to the food court for a half hour and then had a freshly cleaned room.

I don't think it's a matter of being low on staff, it's a matter of the staff can't do everyone's room at the same time. They start working on rooms and they keep going until they finish, and your room may be one of the first they do, or it may be one of the last. We stayed in value resorts for about 25 days last year, and I would say that the room was NOT made up by the time we came back for our afternoon break just a handful of those days.
