I'm thinking of renting points to enjoy a 2-bedroom Villa at Aulani, but I'm really a "hotel" kinda gal and enjoy having housekeeping service. Has anyone ever paid the additional fee to have daily housekeeping at one of the Villas, and if so, is the housekeeping service then comparable to what you would get at the hotel? Does it include turn down service as well?

I read somewhere that it's $60/day for a 2-bedroom to have housekeeping, but I'm not sure if that's a current price.

My only experience with this was for two of our stays. I arranged extra cleaning on a few different days, was told the price (one time it was $25 and the other $40 for full; I forget how much tt was). They didn't come. I called the front desk, they said they'd look into it. The next day, nothing. I called housekeeping; nothing. I wasn't charged, either. I only tried this on two trips because after failing both times to get the extra cleanings, I gave up. There are two options: full cleaning and towel/trash. I'd arranged for both as extras but got neither extra. Just the normally scheduled ones.

You don't get turn down service just regular cleaning. For us our room is kept pretty clean and we take out our own trash so having the room cleaned daily is over kill and we really enjoy our privacy.

Okay, no turndown...definitely not a big deal. But I admit that I do like to have clean sheets, clean towels, and a clean bathroom when I'm on vacation. So if I pay for the housekeeping and they actually show up...is it the same housekeeping service as provided in the hotel? Or is it still minimal as compared to the hotel service?

Same as the hotel.

It is $60 a day for a 2BR and it is a regular, hotel like cleaning, including washing the dishes although you have to remove them later from the dishwasher.

FYI Disney does not change sheets daily even in the hotels. You can just order extra towel packs if needed.
