My family is leaving for DW on Tuesday. We have reservations for HOB. But, my mother had read some reviews complaining about the atmosphere... that its super loud and ruins the meal..... is it like that or not? Also, what's the food like? I, myself, am very adventurous when it comes to spicy foods, but my 13 y/o sister is a bit of woose when it comes to different foods..... Is there food on the menu for her?

We eat around 4:00pm most times and it is not loud at all.We love the food and always get the Voodoo Shrimp for a starter.I love the Elwood Burger and DW enjoys the Fried Chicken Salad. :earsboy: :bounce:

We didn't find it loud at all--especially when compared to Bongo's and Planet Hollywood.

We don't find it loud at all. We always try to eat a late lunch or an early supper. It can get quite crowded at the busy times. The food and atmosphere are worth a stop. Enjoy!

We go for lunch and its usually pretty quiet. But, they've stopped serving their lucious pecan pie for dessert so we don't go anymore.

We have never found it loud. We have been for lunch many times and early dinners. It can get very busy during peak times.

You don't have to be an adventurous eater. The food is delicious, they have one of the best burgers I have had anywhere. Hubby and son love the shrimp po boy. The cornbread is wonderful. The calamari is very good. Actually everything we have had there has been very good.

Enjoy!

We also always eat lunch or dinner here, and enjoy the food and atmosphere! My kids love the ceiling tiles! It is not loud at all.

The only time that I've ever found House of Blues to be very loud is when they have a live band playing. If that bothers you, just avoid those times. It was pretty late in the evening, though. Otherwise it's just like any other restaurant as far as noise level is concerned. I think that there is enough variety to please everyone in your party, but if you're worried, check out the menu on Deb's site before you go!

Same here. We always enjoy stopping there for a meal. There is a good selection. Have had some excellent fresh fish specials there the last couple of visits. (Wahoo and Grouper both Blackened) Personal Favorites here are the Voodoo Shrimp and some Rosemary Cornbread for starters. Too bad they don't have Blackened Voodoo beer any longer. Imho the place is worth a visit.

We just love House of Blues. We have eaten here many times and always loved it. Try there Rosemary cornbread it is great.

we just ate there and It was great I loved it. my wife does not like very much the spicy food but the atmosphere was great.

The House of Blues is great. Sometimes we just go for dessert. Our favorite is the Banana Bread Pudding.

We were there early for dinner (probably around 5 or 6). The atmosphere was fine then, however the food was only okay. If you've been to New Orleans before and eaten there - you'll be disappointed!

I love House of Blues, we go there every time we are at WDW. The food is great although they did eliminate some great entrees that were on the orginal menu.

If you there when the band is playing it gets extremely load, but that is usually later in evening, like 8-9pm. Any other time, noise is not a problem.

I always make sure to go here whenever I go to WDW. You have got to try the shrimp and crawfish etouffee, its outrageously good.
