House of Blues Sunday Gospel Brunch

We're interested in doing this in February and I'm looking for some reviews.

How is the food? Is it a buffet or table service? How is the entertainment/experience? Do you think it is worth the price? Anything else I should know?

I've always been disappointed with the Sunday Gospel Brunch at Blues, House of. The food -- a buffet -- is only mediocre, and the few times I've been, the entertainment featured a gospel choir that didn't so much sing as vamp a repetitive phrase. I would have liked to hear some full gospel songs -- it was just a lot of clapping and vamping.
That said, I have to relate a funny story. When I first visited the Sunday Brunch to do a review for the Orlando Sentinel, I saw some people I know. I ran into them the following week and asked them how they liked the Gospel brunch. They said they were really offended by it and left halfway through. Why? I asked. What were you offended by?
They said, "We had no idea it would be so Christian-oriented."
Sometimes it isn't even worth it to say, "Well, Duh!"

We agree! Very loud & yucky food....waste of time for us and we'd never go back. The music definitely did not live up to the gospel music we were hoping for.
