Cool. I love house hunters and would have a beachfront house if I could. I still hate the fact that I couldn't afford to buy my Grandparents beach house. It was 2 houses down the road from the beach in New Jersey. I loved spending summers there.
My husband would never, ever want a beach home. He doesn't like the beach. Sigh......
I stopped watching it when I found out it was fake - the people have already bought their house before the show is taped. That made it a lot less fun for some reason.

Wait...House Hunters is fake? Not sure what you mean!! My son and Iove House Hunters. We like to watch and then at the end shout out which one we would pick and see if it's the same! Silly I know.

Doesn't everyone do that??!! We always shout out our picks!
Yeah, someone posted here that the people already know which house is there pick and then they add the other houses afterward. It makes sense when you think about it and watch it...you can tell. I still like it though.
I love HH also. I seem to see alot of Illinois homes, I like Illinois but not that much. I could also do w/out the International ones that go to homes in Poland etc. that have no kitchen or indoor plumbing. I don't have that kind of vision. Well we have a 2nd home 1 mile from the Ocean so while I can dream of being ON the ocean, I will look forward to these homes. Thanks for the heads up.
Anyone see the House Hunters last night or the night before in Dallas Texas? The wife wanted to live near her best friend in the suburbs, the husband wanted to live closer to the city. The wife stood there and criticized everything little thing about the city house, she was so whiney. In the end, she got her way, husband was stuck with long commute.
I was watching HH International last night and the couple was searching for a vacation home on the island of St. John. One of the homes they looked at (and eventually purchased) had an estimated electric bill of $2,000 to $4,000 per MONTH! They commented to each other that it was quite a bit of money. Ya think? They bought that home, which had a beautiful kitchen with gorgeous granite counter tops (the island was huge). When they showed the house after they moved in, the kitchen had been remodeled. This was a brand new home that they purchased for $3 million!
The people on the show aren't actually shopping for a house - they've already bought one. The show then adds two other houses and shows the buyers pretending to decide between the three of them.
