Thinking about trying to book hotel through Hotwire two weeks before arriving in Orlando in Feb. has anyone got any thoughts on this? Am I likely to get a good deal, or is it more likely there will be not much available? Would want a hotel in area of Wdw

The Priceline Express Deals thread has tips for Hotwire too. Post 7,335 has a link to a Hotwire Resort Matcher that can help you identify what hotel you are looking at. Here's a link to that thread page. The thread concerns mainly Disney resorts, but the resort matcher also includes nearby hotels.

I'm not going to predict what will be available in February, but it won't hurt to look then. Meanwhile, you might want to book a fully-refundable hotel room someplace.
