I found a 2 1/2 star hotel in lake buena vista area w/a resturant on site for $38 this drops my original hotel price (at the buena vista suites) and saves me over $500!! But I'm not sure about a 2 1/2 star, anyone have any experience, I've never done hotwire. Thanks!

Personally I wouldn't book a 2.5* star on hotwire. I would stick to at least a 3 star. That said I mostly book 3.5* and up on hotwire.

You are looking at a mediocre Days Inn, or something like that. It won't be the same quality as Buena Vista Suites from what I've heard about that hotel.

Look up the hotel on Hotwire. Note ALL amenities, area, and star rating. Then, go to www.betterbidding.com and look it up on the Hotwire lists. You can get a good feel for which hotels are listed- then you can look up these places on review sites like www.tripadvisor.com and such to see how they rate.

I have used Hotwire for our last several WDW trips. Gotten everything from 2 * places up through 3 1/2 *. Liked them all (especially for the prices I paid!)- but I researched beforehand so I wasn't surprised by what I got. Hotwire can be a great way to find good accomodations for a great price, but you need to do your homework.
