Hotels with airport transfers

Can anyone give me some suggestions for hotels outside of Disney parks that include airport transfers? Looking for a nice hotel that is not too much money. Thanks for any info!

Most hotels that do transfers are really close to the airport.

You could also just take the Lynx bus from MCO to a hotel. http://www.golynx.com/

Are you looking for a hotel that does both airport transport and park transport? If so, I think you may be disappointed.

There are LOTS of hotels at the airport that do airport transport. But they don't take you to the parks

(LaQuinta, Fairfield Inn, Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn, Sheraton, Courtyard all come to mind as having MCO locations with transport to the airport)

Why not just stay at Disney. then you can take the Magical Express bus for free to the Disney resort from the airport.

You're looking for a hotel which isn't too much money. You need to read the fine print. Many (probably almost all) non-Disney hotels in the Orlando area charge for parking, charge a resort fee and/or charge for theme park shuttles. Not every offsite hotel charges all 3 fees but almost all have at least one such charge.

Add in those fees and the cost of rental car and a Disney value resort might be the better deal.

You can take the Lynx bus from MCO to Disney (TTTC) but neither the Lynx bus nor shuttle buses to offsite resorts are designed to accommodate guests with luggage.

I used to think that. What will it cost to rent and gas a car? $20/day ($140/week with fees) sounds reasonable. What does it cost to part at Disney? $14. Now assume your offsite hotel charges $10 (parking or resort fee). There goes $45 per day. Add perks like EMH.

The numbers change as you upscale your hotel. $400-$500 for a Disney deluxe. Maybe $100 for an offsite resort. Maybe $200 for the Swan/Dolpin.

OP isn't renting a car. So you aren't really comparing, but....

This weekend I am staying at the Fairfield Inn.. $75 a nights for three nights with the 4th night free. My other options were $100 plus a night for a value.

Hmm. $400 vs. $225 for the 4 nights.

Rental car let's use the $20, parking $14 resort fee zero.

So my extra costs are say $50 a day.

So now I am up to $425 for the stay. BUT...

I get free breakfast, interior corridors, a rewards program that lets me earn points for FREE nights on future visits, more space, a king bed without paying extra. So is the $25 savings worth it. For a hotel that offers less? . Sorry but putting a giant Buzz Lightyear does not get away from the fact that a Disney value is an exterior corridor hotel that wouldn't meet the standard for most hotels you might stay in. Plop that thing on I drive and it's $49.99 a night LOL! My company travel policy wouldn't even approve a Disney hotel (no exterior corridor hotels are allowed due to security concerns!)

Plus I have access to much better priced/quality food at an offsite hotel.

And as you go up the "chain' the discrepancies between Disney and off site get greater not less.


Disney hotels have become "pay more, receive less" Free Transport is only worth so much.

I was making more of a general observation. You're right. The OP won't have a car. Offsite hotels generally have a horrible schedule. Do you know the shuttle schedule from your hotel? Price? Do you have to reserve the night before. Are more buses added if they fill up or are guests on their own?

I agree, as you "up the chain" the price difference between offsite hotels and onsite increase and the offsite equivalent generally offers better service.

Disney is about "pretend" and theming. We pretend we're training for a trip to Mars. GF is themed to resemble a 5* hotel. It's a 4* hotel, closer to being a 3* then it is to a 5*. Give Disney "credit". They discovered they could charge 5* prices but basically offer a 3-4 guest experience. Why pay to staff to 5* standards when you can charge 5* prices without the added expense.

You can generally "win" a resort on PL for $80-$120. Probably under $150 even after you add a resort fee and parking.

Just adding that technically by not having interior corridors Disney value and moderate resorts are "motels" it is one of the key differences between a motel and hotel.

We are actually staying at a Disney resort. This question is for my son & girlfriend, the problem is we are all going for my daughters cheer competition and ALL hotels are sold out during the dates he needs. They are not 25 so are being hit with top dollar to rent a car. I wish he could get a value because it really would be the better deal. Thanks everyone for your thoughts!!
