Hotels that are NOT noisy?

We stayed at the Park Vue, which was super convenient to the park but they had us in a room near the lobby, which meant we had kids running on the corridor above our room (sounding like a stampeding herd of buffalo) and construction work (working on the driveway) beginning at 6am. We do not wake up that early.

Any hotels that are quiet? Disney hotels, non-Disney hotels, doesn't matter. I cannot handle being awakened at 6am on vacation. We bring a white noise machine but that isn't enough to mask the sound of kids stomping over our heads in the morning.

We have stayed at the Anaheim Plaza twice. I also use a white noise machine. I didn't really hear too many people. The AC was kind of loud but to me that's just more white noise.

I also agree with the Anaheim Plaza Hotel.

I had an upstairs room with a balcony, and slept with the door open to the outside so I could get some fresh air (well as fresh as city air can be) while I slept. I did not have any problems with noise even with the door open.

However, keep in mind that this is an older motel, and tho like most motels in the area, are slowly doing updates, it is still a motel.

I also found the staff really friendly, and if you explain any problems nicely enough, they are exceedingly helpful!

One of the best things about this motel is the price. You can usually get a room for about 60 -70 a night. So I have found it a great place to crash!

I have found the Grand Californian very quiet.

It's an old hotel but we really liked it. And the pool was nice last year when it was 108 degrees out!

GCH was great. Very quiet. It does help to request upper level when possible (I swear some kids have heels of concrete, you can hear them run everywhere above your head). As PP said, white noise machines are a great help, too.

I found the HoJo to be extremely quiet. We had a room facing Disneyland in the main building (the 7 story one) on the sixth floor...we ran the fan every night but it was one of the first times in recent memory that I didn't need to pull out my earplugs as well. I know many will disagree and say they had a noisy room there, but I heard NO doors slamming, NO racket above us, and NO kids or families in the hallway.

When we stay at the BWPPI, I always ask for a room on the 3rd floor, and towards the back. The scenery isn't so great (parking lot!) but it's away from most of the noise, and there isn't anyone stomping on floors above! :)

GCH was quiet every time we stayed there. It's hit or miss elsewhere. We've had some very quiet stays at the DLH, and some loud ones (thanks to people who let their kids scream and run all over the place).

Offsite same idea. It really depends on the people you get around you.

We stayed at BWPPI and didn't have any complaints about it being noisy. We did run the a/c everynight but we do that even at home. We were even on the bottom floor.

I actually didn't hear noise from the other rooms when we stayed at BWPPI last weekend. It was noise from outside late at night and early in the morning that we heard and it was quite loud. I did request a back room for our June trip. I didn't specify what floor. We were on the second floor (rm 255) and didn't hear voices or foot traffic from the other rooms. Just water running.

Well you live and learn. Whenever I make reservations at the Park Vue Inn, I request a room in the back upstairs. This way there is no way the pitter patter of little feet and the joyful screams of the anticipation of Disneyland awake us. The most quite hotel I have ever stayed at was the Disneyland Hotel. It was the tower that over looks DTD. With the slider pulled open the noise from DTD was loud. But it was like magic, close the slider the sound was off!:tink:

We stayed at the Crown Plaza. It is the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. We had families on both sides of us (I saw them in the hall) with small children... and I NEVER heard one sound. Nor did we hear anything above us, no walking sounds or anything. No hallway noise either and we were near the elevators. They also have the best beds ever! Far better than my bed at home!

Crowne Plaza was nice but our room stank horribly. It smelled like someone had smoked and they had sprayed Lysol over it to mask they stink. It was yucky. But oddly enough, by the time we got back from DTD the first night the smell was gone.
BWPPI, Tropicana, HoJo, PP, GCH, CCI are all other places we've stayed, here is the list of quiet to noisy.

GCH
PP
CP
BWPPI
HoJo
Trop
CCI

Ditto. Whenever I find it's loud, I go to the front desk & ask when my loud neighbors are checking out. If it's more than 1 day away, I'll ask to change rooms. DLH has been accommodating when I asked.

Also, gch's atmoshpere seems to promote quiet more than DLH.

We've had good luck with the Anaheim Sheraton. The only "noisy" visit was a room near the pool. Lots of little feet running back and forth, but they were accomadating in the move and the beds are heavenly. I think they're called Sweet Sleeper. Whatever, they were better than the GCH beds.

The GCH was also very quite at night, but one visit we had a park view near GRR and you could hear the waterfall (until they turned it off at night) even through the closed doors. A little disturbing as I don't generally nap near a waterfall.

We loved the sound of the waterfall. Those are the rooms I will be requesting for any future stays. I'd rather hear the waterfall than kids in the hall, which is what we had when we stayed concierge level last year. Won't be doing that again for a number of reasons.

I found CCI quiet if you are in the back. If you are up front its a lot noisier.

When we stayed at the HOJO in Feb it was like staying in a room with rice paper for walls. But, in their defense, we had a corner room right by the elevators by the then being remodeled quiet pool. I think a different location and no construction would help a lot.

We are trying Anaheim Plaza next month for the first time. I'm hoping its as nice as you guys are saying.

Well, the Anaheim Plaza isn't really "nice." It's an older hotel. Sort of rundown. But as far as noise...I didn't have a problem either time we stayed there.

I don't expect nice. I expect clean. Quiet is a bonus. This is a last minute budget minded trip. We spend so little time in the hotel on these whirwind, quick trips that it really isn't a big deal. I'll save my $$$ for a nicer hotel for our annual December trip when we stay for a week and relax a little bit more.

Yeah...we're only in our hotel to sleep so we stay at the Anaheim Plaza...it's so affordable and still close to the parks.
