We're staying at WL this time but decided to arrive early and check out SeaWorld & Universal. I'd like to stay within walking distance of Downtown Disney (so I can shop before the parks wear out my legs!) but can't find a map showing what's where. Can anyone tell me which hotels are the closest? Thanks.

I suggest the LBV Best Western.
DH and I got an early start on our vacation earlier this month because of Hannah and we would stay here again.
It was on Lake Buena Vista Drive right NEXT to Downtown Disney. It's a pretty big hotel. :thumbsup2

The hotels on Lake Buena Vista Drive are the ones closest to DownTown Disney. All are pretty reasonably priced, but most charge 'resort' fees on top of the per night charge. Some have better reviews than others though, so choose wisely.

Is it within walking distance or do you still need to drive over?

The Best Western is actually closer to 535, which connects Lake Buena Vista Drive. The closest to the Disney Marketplace I believe is actually the Hilton.

Wow thank you. :flower3: great job with the map. I just need to add Chick-fil-A and I am all set! Oh and you wouldn't know where the Marriott Village is would you? Never mind, I can find it myself. It must have taken you a long time to mark everything.

It's #179 on the map, I just added it. I did the map off and on for a few weeks. I got tired of trying to find a map that had what I wanted on it. I've been to this area almost every year for the last 15 years so I knew where most everything was. :)

The Best Western is great, it's a little further walk than smoe of the others, but it has very large rooms. Some rooms have a great view of downtown disney and you can see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom I believe. We also really like the Hilton, very close to DTD. If we ever stay in the DTD area those are our two fav's.

We just got back from our stay, and we did three nights at the Hilton, and then a week in Windsor Hills.

The Hilton is the closest, and AWESOME!! Clean, tidy, quiet and GREAT customer service. And they have a GREAT pool and a nice little marketplace so you can grab a quick and inexpensive brekkie in the morning, like a fruit bowl or a bagel. I highly recomend it. There are even codes you can get for a $99 / night stay! And kids eat free! Awesome.

(I LOVE DTD. It was only about a 10min walk -ish.) :)

Thank you! I actually thought I was going crazy -I clicked on the map again and there it was! I didn't read your post until after. I really love the map.
