Hotels/Motels with Shuttles

DH and I are planning our Halloween trip and we're trying to find hotels or motels that have shuttles to DLR and the only one I have come up with so far is the Candy Cane Inn. Anyone know of others or places that are EXTREMELY close, as I am disabled.

We did this trip a few years ago, stayed at BW Stoval's, and I rented a scooter from a local company. To make it easy on DH walking to and from DLR, I would put the back of the scooter down, scooch forward and he would sit on the back half and we would zoom back and forth very easily. We got a lot of looks and I think DH would like to find an alternative ;)

Any help would be appreciated :)

Thanks !!!

For hotels within walking distance. One poster compiled a list of hotels by distance and had information on amenities. I cannot do a good search on my Nook.

We are at the CCI next month. The shuttle was part of the allure after a late night.

We have the DVC timeshare... and being in the Grand Californian is DEFINITELY the best option for being close. That being said, before we bought into the DVC, we always stayed at the CCI. The rooms are small but the free, dependable and super-friendly shuttle was a primary reason we always stayed there. Also, the Monorail (wheelchair friendly) stops 1 block from the newly refurbished Disneyland Hotel. Good Luck!

The Sheraton (the one that looks like a castle) has a dedicated shuttle. It is one of my favorite laces to stay.

The Hyatt Regency Orange County and Crowne Plaza (both down in garden grove) offer a free shuttle. I've stayed at the Hyatt, in May of 2009, and the shuttle was never more than half full and always very timely. I have not stayed at the Crowne Plaza, but they receive positive reviews as well.

My parents who are, well, a bit snobbish about their hotels, stayed at Candy Cane Inn and thought the rooms were too small and old, but they also enjoyed the shuttle and liked the close walking distance if they chose to walk.

Park Vue Inn and Best Western Park Place Inn are directly across from the crosswalk and seem to sell out the fastest (we plan our Disney trips about 1 month in advance and neither have ever had availability). Park Place Inn is one of the hotels that my friend's family stays at every year, even when they could afford much more. I believe on the boards that people have said it is closer than the Disneyland Hotel on property.

Good luck in your search!

Great info I would love to see the list by distance thread.:)

Yup yup yup. The Dobies will drink to this! :drinking:

Thank you to all for your suggestions. I'm torn between spending $3,500 (Grand Californian) and about $1,600 (Candy Cane Inn) for hotel (6 day stay), 2 4-day Park Hopper tickets, and then 2 tickets for the Halloween party.

Decisions, decisions, decisions

I'm just thankful I have a few months to plan this thing - lol

Doesn't it blow your mind when you see the price comparison like that? I would suggest the Candy Cane Inn too because they do have the shuttle, but it is also close enough that you could just use your scooter if necessary too. Not sure if you said you are renting one this time or not.

I think we're going to go with BW Parks across from DLR, to get points, and after knee replacement surgery in Feb and surgery to break up the scar tissue a week ago, I'll be "scootering" :thumbsup2

But, the prices to stay on DLR property is a tad outrageous !!!

doing a West Coast trip this summer. Disneyland is one of the many stops we will make. It is not a primary destination.

While initially planning the trip, I knew Carsland was opening before we got there but I had no idea how big it is. I explained to my wife that we had planned on visiting during a MM day.

We are arriving near Disney the night before, spending the full day in the parks and spending the night. It would cost us over $300 just to get early because of the hotel price differences.

It is not going to happen.

if you havent made hotel reservations yet then I would suggest doing it very soon...by this time of year the dates for the halloween parties have long since been out but due to the fact that CL and DCA is reopened, I think its on the backburner for them..but as soon as the dates and availability to purchase tix becomes available hotels are gonna fill up pretty fast...especially the popular ones:goodvibes
