It definitely decreases if you stay further away, so it's relative to your comfort to walk a little. To be fair the ones with the farthest walks away can still be reasonable by most standards at a 20-25 minute walk. For ones we've stayed at that were further away included the Hyatt, Crowne Plaza, and Hilton Garden Inn. The fairfield by Marriott which is just across the street is among the most convenient of larger chains.
Most recently we've resorted to staying at Hotel Menage it's an independent chain that's a short walk over the interstate. The only downside in our eyes is that there's no membership/loyalty program, and we have some basic level of status on others. Despite that we usually prefer here as it's very affordable and quite convenient. I'd say in terms of quality it's definitely inline with a Fairfield by Marriott. The walk in the evenings can get slightly chilly, but it's not to bad as it's only 15 minutes from your room to the park entrance.
