Hotels for Universal Studios Hollywood

I am in early planning stages for a short trip in December to Universal Studios. We only plan to go to the park 1 day and would only be there for 2 nights so I was hoping to find a hotel on the cheaper side that can accommodate 5-6 ppl. We don't care about a pool or anything fancy like that. Bonus points if it's within walkable distance from the park but not necessary. Haven't been there in 10 years so any suggestions are appreciated

We have stayed a night at the BLVD Hotel in Studio City when I didn't want to pay for the Hilton/Sheraton and it was reasonably priced and about a 15 minute walk to the park. I don't know if they have rooms for 5-6 but two rooms might be cheaper than a suite elsewhere.
