Just wanted to know from all the experience cruisers which hotels you would recommend that are by the airport. Which one's have a shuttle? We will be arriving late and would like to go straight to a close hotel.

Thanks, Lynda

im not an experienced cruiser - but i am going on the wonder on 24oct - we are booked the night before at embassy suites which is quite close to the airport and does include transfers - it also includes breakfast

i cant let you know when i get back how it is!

During Hurricane Jeanne, we were "fortunate" enough to experience two of the airport hotels. We spent a night at the Marriott and two at the Renaissance. Both were very nice. Clean, pleasant staff, quiet. Even better was the $38 that we paid for the Marriott through Priceline. They both had free shuttles but no breakfast (coffee pot in room, however). We'll definitely do Priceline again to stay by the airport. I know many folks swear by driving out to the port and sleeping there but I don't know what we would have done in our case. With the hurricane, it was essential that we were in Orlando to catch the bus to Port Everglades in the morning.

Just do three stars or more and check out www.biddingfortravel.com to get good tips on what the going Priceline rate is for the airport hotels.

We stayed at the Hyatt right at the airport for our 7/31 cruise. It may be a little more expensive but especially is you are flying in late it is so convenient. We also got a day room there after the cruise because our flight did not leave until very late afternoon.

Wow, $38 is an amazing price. Most Motel 6's start at about $40 a night these days.
We stayed at the Sheraton just off the airport....$65 for 4 people, room only. They do have a shuttle.
They do offer for a decent price a nice breakfast buffet.
Our flight from the West Coast got in after 11 pm, and we caught a 10:30 am DCL bus to the port the next day, so we were only awake about 90 minute of the time we had the room.
