Looking for a inexpensive, but decent hotel somewhere between Orlando and Tampa. Anyone have any suggestions. We will be there in late June looking at Colleges in Tampa, Lakeland and Orlando, FLA.
Something off of Route I-4, with maybe a continental or buffet breakfast included would be nice with two teens for just one or two nights before we go to Universal and Disney for fun!!!.

Thanks in advance! Debbi

Off I-4 in Lakeland (can't remember the exit #, use to be 18 but now they've changed). There is a LaQuinta there, and also a Hooters Hotel. When my son played baseball in Lakeland the younger kids stayed at the LaQuinta & the parents liked it. Hope this helps.....

I agree, the 'main' exit in lakeland (see Hooters on the NW corner of the exit) is your best bet. Lodging plus lot's of restarant choices within a mile or so as well. Going west on I-4, it's about 25 mins west of Kissimmee.

Thanks Steve P and AMickeyfan for the info!
Am I reading this correctly....A Hooters Hotel?
I knew they had some restaurants, but hotels!!!???
If my teens were boys they would love to stay there! :D

I'll check out the LaQuinta and some others on that exit..
Thanks again! :)

Lakeland also has a Baymont and Fairfield Inn that have breakfast. Both are fairly new and next to a Cracker Barrel.

you read our posts correctly......there is a Hooters Hotel!!! I must say I have never stayed there.......if anyone has, I would love to hear how it was LOL!!!!

What would be a city or two for a hotel after Valdosta GA?
