My DH likes to golf while we visit the parks. He doesn't really like staying onsite nor does he see the value in Disney golf courses. I'm trying to see our options. Ideally we could stay on a golf course so that he could golf while we drive to the parks.

I would like to spend max $200/night in early March ... and would prefer a one or two-bedroom or suite with separate sleeping for the kiddies.

A lot to ask for ... could be hotel/resort/or condo/timeshare. Does anyone have a list of Golf-course accommodations?

Thanks! :)

Marriott's Grande Vista has a golf course and golf institute. It's on International Drive. It's a beautiful resort with recently renovated villas ranging from studios to 1-3 bedroom units.

If you are looking for villas, you may also look into the Reunion resort. Great golf course and resort with many villas. Not sure if it will match your budget, but its worth a shot...

Hi, Orange Lake is good idea...2 golf courses plus a par three course.
Marriott World center has nice course on property close to Disney.
Mystic Dunes has 1-2br condos and a very nice golf course.

If you are looking for some deals on tee times, check out golfnow.com. For example, you can play some of the Disney courses for as low as $39

I believe the Omni at Champion Gates and Rosen Shingle Creek both have golf courses with the hotels. I'm a golfer, but do not golf when I am in Orlando. I cann't give an opinion on either of these places, but just a suggestion for checking.

The Omni at Champions Gate is a beautiful resort and the golf courses look great. They also have good room rates...we got two connecting rooms for under $200 a night. Perhaps a JR. suite would be even cheaper.

Any hints on getting the best rates at the Omni? I would love to stay there, but for early March their website quotes $207 for a basic room, and $339 for the 2-bedroom. :confused3

WOW! The best rate I could find was $197.

I think they reduce the rates closer to your date of arrival. I am saying this because I checked what the rates are for next week (the first week of June) and they were $107 per night.

On our trip to the Omni (just this past March) we had originally booked at the Swan using the teacher discount. With the teachers discount the Swan rooms were still about $160 per night.

In Feb. I started checking other Deluxe hotel rates in the Orlando area...which is how I found the $99 rate for the Omni and we switched from the Swan to the Omni.

The Omni resort is huge....and my theory is that the rates far out from arrival date are inflated in price and they cut back the price closer to arrival date....in order to sell more rooms. Does that make sense?

The place is huge...I am very confident the rate will be much lower than $207 when it gets closer to March.

The resort is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay there.
