Hotels along I-95 in SC- Reviews please: good/bad.

Thanks! I just checked this website. Predictably, Hampton Inns and Holiday Inns got the best reviews. I'll be posting my reviews there when we get back.....the more people who do so, the better this site can be at helping people.

If you can drive about one hour south of Manning to Santee SC, The Best Western is very decent. Clean room, quiet motel. Many food choices that you can walk to along the roadway, and they have their own Veranda Restaurant which is very nice. Continental breakfast is offered right off their lobby. A very nice small quiet pool (we never used it because we were just crashing for the night but it was lovely to sit by for awhile. We loved this stop 2 years ago. Hope it's still as nice for this year too.

Best Western Santee SC is I95 Exit 98.

I already made my reservations there again for when we take our road trip to Disney in July.

After several bad stays at Days Inn - I agree - stay away. Don't be persuaded by their low prices.

If you are wanting to get a room anywhere near the South of the Border area do not get one at Dillon, SC. This is a very bad area and most of the motels are pretty much run down.
