I was trying to save money on lodging and seen one of the ads for 3 days and 2 night lodging
listed on ebay. I was wondering if anyone tried one those certificates and if the accommodations were nice. It does state you have to pay a $10 processing fee but that is it.
No timeshare tours at all or other restrictions other than 60 days notice and check-in weekdays only and holidays blackout period. If anyone could offer any help I would appreciate.

I used one several years ago in Niagra Falls & it worked fine. It was an older motel, but clean and comfy. It was a chain but I don't remember which-Days Inn i think.

However, I believe you do also have to pay the room taxes too. That could end up another $8 to $10? per night. The last certificate that I received on an internet promo also required that children pay extra at either $5 or $10 each. So by the time I got done I was paying about $30 per night. Still a good deal, but of course no choice of hotels-it's whereever they stick you.

I don't know if I would pay $ for one at Ebay - you can get them quite often by registering at sites. I think the last one I received was maybe from Iwon.com or somewhere like that. I have seriously thought about doing this at Wisconsin Dells (although not available on a lot of these) to get my dd a weekend away in the winter. I am sure we would not be at a fancy waterpark motel, but for the cost she would be happy with an indoor pool or game room. We are only an hour from there so if it ended up being a pit of a motel, I just would bite the processing fee and live with it.

On a Disney vacation I think I would really investigate what other good rates I could get close and weigh paying the difference in having the peace of mind of knowing where I would be staying.

The Orlando newsletter I get often has discounts to the Marriott resorts in the new complex outside Downtown Disney hotel area. Check the code area here too.
