Hotel with best pool area near DL?

I'm thinking of booking a four day trip for myself and my daughter to Disneyland! We've been to WDW a few times but I'd like to try DL this time. She's 9 and LOVES the pools almost more than anything else so I'm wondering which resort would have a great pool area and be close to the parks? I'm a complete newbie when it comes to DL so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Go to the top of the forum page and click on the "Resorts", look at the pool facilities at the Disneyland hotel and the Grand Californian. Part of the reason we stay at the Disney hotel is the smimming pool. The new area has the water slides/pool area as well as hot tub/jacuzzis. The Grand has some nice pools as well. The DL pools have multiple lifeguards and towel service. Do not know anything about the other hotel swimming pool facilities. Rest assured you will hear all about them on this forum...

Some people love the Good Neighbor hotel Howard Johnson for their water play and pool areas. I'm going to try it in March. Looks fun and we are praying for nice weather.

Hi Lablady! We have two pools on our property, a regular swimming pool and our Castaway Cove water park. This has slides, water toys, and a big dump bucket that many kids LOVE.
