Hello, everyone! This is my first time posting although I've been reading through the boards for a few weeks now. We are planning a family trip to WDW for November 2005. It's such a tough decision on where to stay, so any advice would be great! This will be our first family trip. My dh and I have 3 children (ages at time of trip will be 11, 10, 3). We would really like to stay at a deluxe resort (my ds loves AKL), but I don't know if it's the "best fit" because of distance from the other disney activities and transportation.
I'm only concerned with distance because of my 2 year old. Actually, he will be a very young 3 by then. Do any of the Deluxe resorts have easier access to the parks? Also, we are planning on getting 2 adjoining rooms if necessary.
Thanks in advance for all your tips!

I have just booked to stay in June for a family of 5 also. I would suggest you call WDW reservations. I tried to book online and only a few hotels could accommodate 5 in a room (we wanted moderate and I wanted to stay at CBR) It wasnt possible. Anyway, I called to check with a "live" person she gave us a great deal at the CBR for 2 connecting rooms ($79 per night). They were about $140 online. (It was cheaper for us to book hotel and tickets seperately). Anyway, we got 2 rooms at the same price it would have cost online for 1 room. Check around and ask if there is a cheaper rate by getting 2 rooms.
Good luck!

Not sure of your budget, but you can pretty much stay at any resort you would like. No need for two rooms. The two year old can stay in a crib, and all resorts allow four people, plus one child in a crib. So your choices are up to you, which one you prefer. If your two year old wants to sleep in a bed, the Port Orleans Riverside offers a trundle bed in each room, sleeping five, and there is no charge for its use anylonger.

We stayed in the Contemporary when our 3 were 8, 5, and 16 mos and will again this year when they're 12, 9, and 5. We like the convenience of being on the monorail in case we want to go to and from the room during the day. The monorail was great with a stroller back in 2001, though that isn't an issue for us anymore!
