I think if you go and give surfaces a clean and maybe take your own bedding and towels you will be fine. Like someone else mentioned they are now saying that the risk of contacting covid through surfaces is low. I would actually feel safer in a cottage/house types place then a hotel (mainly because of elevators and common areas).
We're booked into a condo starting Wednesday - Friday morning. It's across from Horseshoe Valley, a timeshare resort and I think it will be perfect! The main reason i was asking about Airbnb wasn't due to concerns over COVID transmission but the fact that i need a FULL kitchen to prepare my own food. There's no way i can eat in a restaurant that isn't in Disney World and know that I'll be safe. I looked everywhere within a reasonable drive for a hotel that fits that bill (places like Homewood Suites, Residence Inn, Marriott Suites are perfect) that wasn't within an urban setting and couldn't find anything! We both need a break from the day-to-day nothingness of our lives right now and since i can't be out over a meal time that limits us and why would we want to be stuck in another city? This place is a full one bedroom unit, with a balcony that hubby is looking forward to just sitting on & reading (yeah right, read that as snoring!), a big living room with a fireplace (better not need that!) and lots of nice walking areas. It's within driving distance of a few beaches AND our son & his wife. We haven't seen them since late November and they've bought a new house we really should see! Couldn't go when i was only able to eat 5 foods since we need to stay overnight but going for a visit after dinner is PERFECT. We pulled out of our current "bubble" last week so we can actually HUG THEM!I think you just have to ask the questions about their practices. My daughter stayed in an air bnb a couple of weeks ago and said it was good.
The Hotel at Harrison we stayed at - housekeeping didn’t even enter the room for cleaning for 3 hrs after guests left. So I wouldn’t be comfortable with a 4 hr turn around.
We all need a getaway!
They're running a Canadian Residents special so we're paying $127/night (as my son put it, who else can stay there right now?!?!) I booked it thru Hotels .com so i could earn me some airmiles even
