Hotel Shuttles to Disney

I was wondering if the shuttle bus at Buena Vista Suites take you to the entrance of magic kingdom or just to ttc. I heard only the disney buses take you to the front of magic kingdom. I am afraid to ride the monorail because of the breakdowns occasionally. I do NOT want to be stuck in a glass box above the ground. I have been riding the monorails since the 70's and only recently am I freaked about riding them. If the shuttle bus doesn't work my other option is to drive to contemporary and valet park for the day but am i allowed to go to park for the day? that probably isn't fair to hotel guests. My last option would be to take a taxi to MK. Are the taxi's allowed to drop you off in front of MK or the TTC.
Thanks for your replies!

Only WDW Transportation buses use the three bus loops at the Magic Kingdom.

Taxis and non-Disney buses use a lot near the TTC (although you can also ask a taxi to take you to the Contemporary and walk from there).

From TTC, there are passenger ferries to and from the Magic Kingdom. These large boats provide frequent, fairly quick, nonstop service. They're a good alternative to the Monorail, especially when there's a long line for the Monorail.

And you won't be in a train on an elevated beam, if you're concerned about that.

Thanks for quick reply! Do you know how much it would cost approx from buena vista suites to mk if I were to take a taxi? How hard is it to get a taxi when park closes? Also, if I were to take the boat how long am I on it from ttc to mk? I am just curious if taxi would be cheaper round trip than parking for $15. Thank you.

As far a taxi fares go, I've found this site to be helpful when getting estimates....

Taxis are eay to get, but it's going to run you around $60, round trip. Definitely not cheaper than parking.

If you have a car, you should probably drive rather than rely on off-site shuttles.

The ferry boat, once it takes off, is only about a 15 minute crossing. I usually allow about 20-30 minutes though. You might have to wait for the ferry to dock, unload and load again before taking off. I actually prefer the ferry over the monorail as I enjoy being able to watch the MK get closer and look over at the different resorts.

1. I work for a taxi company and when I first read this I was like no way. I know the area has high rates but no way that high. I did a Buena Vista Suites (have stayed there 3 times) to the MK (didn't have a Contemporary address) and its 22.00 one way. So $60 RT is a little high ( I get with 20% tip around $55 RT) but in the ball park. But still way more than $15.00. :thumbsup2

Where I live it would be $16.00 for the same 8.1 mile trip and yes its a major metro area. Our drivers would kill for that rate.

2. OP if you have a car and don't do valet, just drive park at the TTC and then take the boat. The drive from BVS suites to the TTC is like 10 minutes if that. Its very easy to get to any park in less than 15 minutes.

ETA: OP I have never used their shuttle. If I didn't have a car I wouldn't stay off site.

The crossing from dock to dock takes 5-7 mins, not 15.

I've never timed the crossing, but 5 to 7 minutes seems right. Of course, that doesn't include loading and unloading the passengers.

During the crossing, the time goes quickly because it's an enjoyable ride. You get great views of the resorts around the Seven Seas Lagoon, the islands, other boats, and the Magic Kingdom getting ever closer.
