Hotel Royal Plaza

We never actually ate in the hotel restaurant but did get a sandwich from it once and it was ok. There is a pizzaria uno at the crossings shopping center and we ate there once and also had them deliver to our room once and it was good. we also ate breakfast at perkins 2 times--that was at the crossings shopping center and were very happy with it---not the best breakfast ever but pretty good and for 5 of us it was only $28,where my Dad had breakfast at the hotel and it was $11 and only for 1 person. The hotel is very close to downtown disney and we went there several times---ate at the rainforest cafe and loved it. Also ate at the wolfgang puck restaurant---not the fancy one--it was ok--but there is a new place I think it was the Earl of sandwich and it was really good--nice hot roast beef sandwich for only $4.50 or something like that. As for the pool it was nice but basic--there is no kiddie pool--overall our stay was great---if you can request a room in the tower are--an upper level, you can see the firewotrks from epcot and/or magic kingdom depending on the side of the building of your room. Our room was on the 12th floor and faced downtown disney and we saw the fireworks from epcot everynight.

Thanks for the info regarding the local restaurants. It does seem that the hotel restaurants are usually a little overpriced and not as good. I've also heard good things about the Earl of Sandwich (thank you for the confirmation.) And for $5 you can eat well. Good to know for the expensive costs of Disney Dining.

I think it's neat that you can have pizza delivered to your hotel room. Never done that before. We'll have to just so we can say we did.

We'll be going on the 22nd so I do appreciate all of the info you guys have given.

Thank you so much.

The funniest part is if you are like me and check out under the bed. There is a little paper sign under the bed that says "Yes, we even clean under here.":p

I'm glad to hear all the good reviews! Does anyone else have any pictures?

Oh, one other question, does anyone remember how late the busses run from MK? We'd like to see the 'kiss goodnight', but then again, we don't want to walk back to the hotel! ;)

We're staying in an executive king suite for our honeymoon in August. :bounce:

Sorry, i do not have any other pictures--but the place is really nice. I just found my bus schedule from my trip and it says the buses run every 30 minutes from 1 hour prior to park opening until 2 hours after park closing.

I just got back from this Hotel and was very impressed. We stayed for e-ride night and, on those nights the buses ran 1 hour after the e-ride night ended. Definitely do this by the way. MK is totally yours. Only about 8 rides are open but they are the long line rides during the day. My daughter and I rode Buzz Lightyear 4 times without a wait at all. We got on Splash and Thunder Mountains with about a 15 minute wait... So cool and the place is extra magical without the crowds. Also, but the Quick and casual, Lunch and Park Tickets through the Hotwire Savings Club online.
Overall, this was a great hotel. The pool was ok, nothing special... but wet and cool. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay.
