I am making my first trip to DL in Janurary 2015 and want to make my resort reservations. When do they open up? Online trying to book I was prompted that they are only accepting reservations thru Dec. 31st. I am a frequent DW traveler and they will allow you to call and make reservations up to 499 days in advance. Is the same available for DL or is Dec. 31st the fasthest out I can book. Also does travel agents or aaa get the calendar opened up earlier than the general public?

Since they're only booking through Dec 2014 right now I think you can book 6 months in advance, maybe 8, but they haven't released the 2015 calendar yet. I think when it gets closer to the end of the year they will.

Just FYI I booked my trip about 4 months in advance, I think. About a month before the trip (maybe 45 days - it was the day the balance of my trip payment was due) they put out a promo that included my dates!! Saved me $400!!

DL is NOT like WDW where people start planning years in advance. Book your package, but make sure to keep checking for discounts!!
