I have listened to people's opinions on travelling from Anaheim into Los Angeles, so I've spent 2 hours looking on Expedia and Trip Advisor. Problems I'm facing:- 1) Prices are significantly more than the HoJo per night. 2) There are 5 of us (2 adults a 17, 15 and 12 year old) and we need 1 room (to save on cost) and Free Parking with preferably free internet 3) Low/no availability of rooms in that area.
In need of some assistance please - Thanks

If you're not looking for something fancy, I suggest the Motel 6 on Whitley, right off of Hollywood Blvd.. It's "no frills" but it's SAFE (lotsa shady hotels/motels in Hollywood! :scared1:), clean, and in super-easy walking distance (as in, around a 2 minute long walk) to the Walk of Fame. It's in easy (about 10 minutes) walking distance to the Hollywood & Highland shopping center, the Chinese Theatre, Disney's El Capitan & soda fountain, and the Red Line subway station. I don't remember if parking is included or not, but it does have an attended underground parking garage, which is really nice to have in Hollywood.

we stayed at magic castle a few years ago, and my kids liked it. i think we paid $10 for underground parking. they had a heated pool, free continental breakfast, free snacks/sodas, free movie rentals, and was a few minutes walk from the main drag. we got a two bedroom with kitchen for the five of us. we caught the subway to universal studios which was also within walking distance.

We stayed at the Magic Castle in April this year. Included breakfast and an unlimited snacks from reception - think crisps, soft drinks/soda, chocolates. Great location and had kitchens in the apartment style rooms.

checked out magic castle and they don't seem to have rooms available for the dates we want :sad2:

I did this same search a few months back and have lots of notes on the subject so might be able to help - can you give me an idea of what price range you are looking for?

We stayed at the Beverly Garland this summer. It was a nice clean room. We got good use of the pool. I can't speak to the internet though. Just beware, the shuttle to Universal is PACKED, doesn't run every hour in the afternoon, but rather every 2 hours.

Avoid the restaurant onsite, we had HORRIBLE service.

Hi Guys, My fellow UK Disers came up trumps and suggested the Best Western Royal Palace Inn & Suites, so have looked into it and booked into a 2 bed Queen Suite for 6 nights. Hotels that still had rooms available were either a bit further out or some of the reviews read that they were in less desirable areas. Feel happy with this hotel now - just need to modify reservation at HoJo in Anaheim, but system not working either online or by phone - got to try again later!!
