My husband and I will be going down next month for his first trip to the world. We are towing our pop up and will be camping at Fort Wilderness for the week of June 20th. But I plan on getting very close the night before. I want to wake up, check in, park the camper in the overflow lot, and go straight to the Magic Kingdom.

I would love any suggestions for a hotel for the night of Friday June 19th. We will be getting in late so we don't need much entertainment. I'm just looking for a clean, really comfortable place to sleep before a week of camping. Oh a big parking lot would be a plus since we have to park the camper!

Thanks for any help you all can offer. I am learning so much by reading your posts.

We did this last year, we had a completely spur of the moment trip and we left at 2pm on a Wed night. I was able to call and get a room at WDW at the POP but we needed someplace decent and clean to stay that was close by since we weren't going to drive completely in that night. I picked up a little travel guide at McD's and found a Howard Johnson inn at the Ocala exit. It was about $40 and it was clean and decent and well lit, right off the interstate and the parking lot was big as well. They also had free bkfast so it was a pretty good deal.
