Hotel recommendation for Pensacola?

Trying to find a decent hotel to stay at on our way back from DW in December. Expedia had a decent rate for Fairfield Inn by Marriott and I'm thinking since its Marriott, it should be decent. Anyone had any experience here or have any other recommendations?
I have a severe insect phobia and we stayed at a hotel this summer where I found a ROACH in the bathroom middle of the night (not a DW trip). I barely slept a wink after that.

Last April we stayed at the Clarion Suites in Pensacola Beach.

Very clean and smack on the beach.

The SpringHill Suites by Marriott just opened this year and its l or 2 hotels down from the Clarion. I'd like to try that hotel next time.

We loved PB. Beach was beautiful and clean.

I'd go to the Marriott website and check for specials for SpringHill and Fairfield.

Pensacola Beach is a good distance from I-10 and you have to drive through traffic to get to the beach. If you don't mind driving about another 1 hour west, Daphne, AL (just east of Mobile Bay) has a nice Comfort Suites and a Hampton Inn. We like CS, so we stay there a lot. It's about halfway from WDW and our home in Shreveport. If we leave WDW about 2 or 3 PM, we get there about 8 or 9 Central Time.

We also stayed at the Clarion at the Beach, but we stayed there a few nights in the summer to get a little beach time in. It was okay, but not worth the cash. Not anything like a real Clarion.
