I have a reservation on hold for the 4 night package at RPR at $259/night for the end of May that includes two 7-day tickets for 2 persons. Kids are over age 9, so no free tickets for them. The AAA rate is $207. That comes out to about the same as the package thru Universal with the 2 free tickets. I joined Loews and was quoted a rate higher than the AAA rate.

Anone know of a way to get a cheaper rate or is this the best deal that I will find?

Can you use the frigerator in the room to store milk to have cereal in the morning?

How is the walk to the parks? I saw that HRH is closer. How much closer? If it is just a couple of minutes, then no big deal.

I don't know your exact dates, but I checked APH (annual passholder) rates for May 26 to May 30. They're $149 for Friday & Saturday and $129 for Sunday & Monday. You'd of course have to purchase at least one of the preferred annual passes to receive those rates. The pass is $179.95. You can purchase the pass using their payment plan ($15.97 per month) or pay for it all at once. You get other discounts w/the pass as well...20% off at park merchandise stores, 15% off at park restaurants, etc.

My rough calculations are $1236 for package deal (room, 2 free tickets & 2 tickets for your kids) OR $1228 AAA (room & 4 tickets) OR $1036 APH (room, annual pass & 3 tickets), plus you'd receive food & merchandise discounts.

In my opinion, the walk to the parks is short & nice. HRH is closer to Universal and RPR is closer to Islands. The walkway from RPR comes out right at Margaritaville. :teeth:
