Hotel question for the ten night Norwegian fjord cruise

hi guys, we are looking to book onto the ten night Norwegian fjord cruise in 2018 which sets sail from Copenhagen and wondered if anyone could recommend a hotel near the port?

The port is in a fairly industrialized area. IMHO, you're better off either staying near the airport, or in the tourist center (my preference.) We stayed at the Scandic Palace for our 2 days pre-cruise. It was a great location, just 2 blocks from the train station (which is an $8 train ride from the airport), and at the end of the pedestrian zone that runs thru the center of town.

We stayed at the Tivoli Hotel and used DCL transport to the ship. We also stayed at the Admiral Hotel post cruise. An easy taxi ride to/from the port. Both hotels were within walking distance to major Copenhagen attractions.

We stayed at Hotel Absalon and loved it. We had a family of 5 and were able to fit in a junior suite. The included breakfast was fabulous! Walking distance to many sights including Tivoli Gardens. It was about a 15 minute cab ride to port.
