We were planning on a trip to WDW about mid September. Was just wondering if anyone who drives from the NJ area or north east has any suggestions on staying a night somewhere in SC or GA.

We will have a 5 month old baby with us so we want somewhere we can spend the night and get up early and finish the last leg of the trip instead of driving all the way through.

Thanks!

The Microtel in Walterboro SC is fine. It's near the SC/GA border and usually runs around $50 a night. Free breakfast is basic - cereal, make-your-own waffles, that sort of thing. It should take about 5-6 hours to Disney from there.

There are plenty of hotels at the exit for the Savannah AP, I just stayed at a Fairfield Inn in March and had no issues. Very easy to get on/off 95, you can choose your brand and probably do pretty well.

We stayed at the LaQuinta in Kingsland, GA. It was really nice. WE are looking for ideas a little closer to Orlando. Clean, safe, with free breakfast three hours or less from Orlando. Any suggestions?

We have stayed at the Baymont Inn and suites, Savannah exit off 95, lots of other choice hotels that exit as well, very clean, hotel staff was great, Sonic was right next door so thats where we ate, and hotel had a nice breakfast offering in the morning and off we went for the last 3-4 hour ride.

Also Santee SC had a nice Best Western and the Clarks Inn when we stayed years ago.
