I need the cheapest hotel on grounds that can accomodate 3 children and 2 adults? Is there any rooms for 5 at AS???? also, we would be going in May--how much do the bigger rooms run? Any discount codes for this month?

Discounts for May are not out yet but hopefully soon. I suggest getting two connecting rooms at AS. One room would be small for a family of 5 and you would have two bathrooms. I think even if your children are all young, 5 in any AS room would be very tight. Two rooms at any AS would be cheaper than one of the villa's or a home at Fort Wilderness if staying onsite.

The only way you could stay in a room at the All Stars is if one of your children is under 3, they will allow him/her to sleep in a crib. You could get two connecting rooms at the All-Stars, however, which would give you an extra bathroom, and lots more room.

The only moderate which will allow 5 is Port Orleans - Riverside, in Alligator Bayou. They have a trundle bed which will sleep a child comfortably, but it is really too small for anyone over 5 feet.

The Contemporary Garden Wing rooms will sleep five very comfortable, the rooms are huge - they have two queen size beds as well as a twin sized day bed. They are the least expensive deluxe option for people who have 5 in their family.

There aren't any codes out yet for May, but they probably will be issued, as it is regular season. Keep an eye on Mousesavers.com. They always post any available codes.

Happy planning!

A dear friend of mine is getting ready for a trip to the Dolphin. Her dh is going on a conference and they are turning it into a vacation! She has 3 children, ages 8, 5 and 3. The rooms there are supposedly quite large and a post here on the boards claims that for families with small children, they will provide a rollaway bed and waive the usual $25 fee. I know Dolphin has great rates for government employees and teachers, and people who have stayed there really seem to like it!

Once the conference is over, our friends are heading over to Riverside where they can get the trundle bed for their 3-year old. The rooms there are not huge, but manageable. I think the AllStars rooms are probably too tight for a family of 5. Riverside has a nice food court where the prices aren't too bad and also the store there sells milk and such to keep in your room.

Have fun!

For 5 people I would suggest staying at FW cabin. They are roomy, have a bedroom & an outdoor deck.

They may not be the least expensive option, however, there is a full kitchen so we always take into consideration the fact that we will eat breakfast, a few lunches & a dinner or two in the cabin, which saves money on eating out. It also saves time - especially in the morning if you want to get an early start in the parks. :D

FW has a lot of things to do - bike riding, boat rentals, the campfire program in the evenings is free. It is an awesome place to stay & only a boat ride over to MK.

Before we joined the Vacation Club, we always would get 2 rooms at All Star Sports.

Having five people in two rooms feels down right roomy, and the extra bathroom makes all the difference for getting everyone out the door in the morning in a reasonable time.

Plus we found it the most economical solution because we were staying on site so we didn't need to rent a car.

Have a good Trip!
