Hi All,

Okay, my hubby and I are flying down next Saturday arriving in Orlando around 9pm. We are staying at OKW starting Sunday, so, we basically need a place to sleep only. We are looking for clean, safe neighborhood and a bed.

Pricing online I see that Serelago is only $60, which I believe is/was the Days Inn Maingate. Is this a safe place to spend 9 hours?

Anyplace better, but just as cheap?

Thanks!

Dana

I'm sorry, I don't know anything about Seralago, but I jumped over to Hotel Kingdom for next Saturday night and they are showing the Microtel for $49.50 a night. It's in the International Drive area (maybe you only wanted Kissimmee) and we stayed there last year for 2 nights. It's only 4 years old, clean, nothing fancy, but you also get breakfast in the lobby. The beds were good too. We've stayed at "nicer" hotels where the beds were foam rubber junk! If I have a good bed and a clean room, I'm a happy camper.

I recommend the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista - the location is excellent and they include breakfast. It is on Palm Parkway - very close to DTD - so if wanted to hit PI or go shopping you are literally 3-4 minutes away (by car)

Very clean, comfortable rooms and I felt safe there. The only thing is that their only have exterior hallways (your door opens outside). Some people don't like that but it doesn't bother me. :)

Hello!

The Seralago you speak of was formerly the Holiday Inn Maingate East. I stayed there last May. I would certainly say it is safe; I don't think I would pay $60 a night for it though.

I usually use hotwire in this type of situation. Last few times I've got La Quinta Inn Lakeside for less than $40 a night. As Spiceycat says it's an older hotel but in good condition and a convenient location.

With hotwire you don't know the actual hotel until after you commit to the booking, but I've never had a bad hotel with them and it's always been good value.
