From what I've read here, it sounds like the DCL bus will pick you and your luggage up from the Hyatt at the airport if you spend the night there before your cruise. That sounds pretty convenient. Besides the Hyatt, do they do that at any of the other hotels by the airport? (I want to compare prices at different hotels.) If you do come in the night before and don't stay at the Hyatt (or any other ones where the DCL bus stops), where do you and your luggage go on the morning of the cruise to get the DCL bus?

We stayed at the Hyatt on our last cruise and I thought it was well worth the $110 rate because it was so convenient. Now it's only $83 if you book the internet special.

I'm not aware of any other Orlando hotels that the DCL bus stops at.

The internet special rate I'm getting for the Hyatt is $129. Maybe they sold out of the $83 rate for my date (3/28/03).

We got the Renaisance Mariott for $38 thru Priceline and are using Yourride to get to the port. It's cheaper for 4 of us to get a towncar than to pay for the DCL transfers AND we have to flexibility to get to the port a little earlier than the DCL bus will

hi - we got a better deal flying in the night before - we saved over $100 each person - so we were going to stay at the hyatt - but it was booked - so we got a reservation at the sheraton suites - and it was great - they picked us up at the airport - we got a comp breakfast the next morning & there was free transport to and from the airport - and the room was fantastic - we were able to relax in one room while the kids watched tv in the other room - the only problem was that we only stayed a couple of hours - and then left for the cruise - it was so simple that we're going to do it this way for all of our other cruises -

If you want to do the DCL bus and get a cheap hotel, make sure you get one with an airport shuttle that will bring you to the hotel the night before and then back to the airport in the morning. We always book through priceline and specify a three-star hotel. We had paid anywhere from $28 to $43 ($28 is the usual, but sometimes it's hard to get one on busy dates). But we use happy Limo rather than mess with the shuttle in the morning. It's very convenient to be picked up at the hotel and head straight for the port (plus we sometimes use the grocery stop).
