Hotel New York Upgrades???

With only 10 days til we leave, we are now getting slightly carried away and wondering what the chances are of us recieving a free upgrade when we check in to Hotel NY. Has this happened to anyone? We are booked in to a standard room but as we are arriving on Valentines Day would it be a possibility to be upgraded to a suite? Hey, surely Disney is all about dreams coming true

With the increased hotel occupancy the days of free upgrades are becoming rarer.
If an upgrade is important to your stay probably best to ask how much the extra would cost and book in advance so that you are not disappointed

I would be very surprised if they upgrade people to a suite for nothing due to the difference in cost. It may have been a different story if it was upgrading to a different class of room but they only have Standard rooms at this hotel. Sorry.

The chances of there being a few business conferences taking place is high which may mean the suites are already booked.

I can only sign what Reid and Nikki said.
The resort is very successful and upgrades are getting rarer and rarer these days.
You can have luck to get a free upgraded maybe during the week in January, February or November, but not around special days like Valentines Day. Many quests will have booked suites for this special day.

And if you should get an upgrade than only from a standard room to a lake view room. (Or at the Sequoia Lodge from standard rooms to Montana rooms.) But never from a standard room to a suite.
