Hotel nearest the convention center?

Hi - we are going to be in Orlando the week before Thanksgiving - part of it for a conference, part of it for fun!

Need some ideas of nicer hotels near the convention center - I know there are a couple of Embassy Suites there, don't remember which one to "stay away from"... also the Peabody is near, if I remember.

There are 2 families of 4 traveling together.

I think that the Rosen Centre hotel is on site at the convention center.

I would like to suggest that you check out Vista Cay (www.vistacayrent.com) before you decide on a hotel. It's a very nice development that is next to the Convention Center.

They have 2 and 3 bedroom condos and 3BR/3BA townhomes with a garage. The complex has some really nice amenities. When you got to www.vistacayrent.com, click on the link at the top of the page for more info about the development.

You can send out a request for quotes based on what you're interested in. I know someone who got an $89 per night quote for a 3BR for Thanksgiving week, so I know you can get a rate that is very competitive with the hotels you mentioned.

BTW, I've stayed at both of the Embassy Suites that you listed and liked both of them fine (great breakfasts at both of them).
