I remember reading a thread awhile back about some that would get a hotel in Nassua that gave you priviledges to Atlantis. Does anyone know of the hotel and what all it includes as far as going to Atlantis? if not..does anyone know of a beach that perhaps we could get a taxi to, spend alittle time then head back to the ship?
Thanks in advance....:)

The hotel is on Paradise Island (not Nassau) and it is called Comfort Suites. Booking a room there will give you full access to the pools, water slides, beach, and everything else Atlantis has to offer. Just take a taxi from the port to Comfort Suites, check in, and they will give you vouchers to bring with you over to Atlantis, where you will exchange them for wristbands to gain access to everything Atlantis.

TY, I just booked ours....Thanks so much...:)

Make sure you keep checking the rate right up until your cruise, by your signature it looks like you're cruising in Dec and twice I've paid $80 (plus taxes/surcharges) for our CS room in early to mid-Dec.

I paid $225 for our comfort suites room on 1/12/09...if I check when it gets closer and the rate has gone down, am I entitled to the lower rate? If so, how do I go about that?

Don't forget to read the small print...you also have to pay housekeeping fees and energy fees.

I read where it said there would be additional fees and even at 40pp its still cheaper than doing it thru Disney...to do the beach and the Aqua adventure would be a total of 229.00 per person...of course thats the total for both excursions...the rate I got was 150.00 for the base price of the room and ended up being 168.00. But Im sure they will add other fees to it...I did read one poster said they werent charged the over night fees...but even if they add fees....its still cheaper....heres the other link where I found the info...post 13...:)

I will keep checking...I didnt think they could increase it after it was reserved, or did I misunderstand? Also was the 80 total and how many were in your party?...we have (4)..2 adults and 2 children..age 10 and 11.

If I recall, I just went in and modified my reservation to reflect the new rate, I don't remember exactly how I did it but it was quite simple.

They can't increase it once you've booked but the rate may drop...but it's up to you to watch the rates and modify your reservation. I've found that Atlantis usually runs an "after-Thanksgiving" special starting in late Oct/early Nov and usually the CS rates start dropping shortly after Atlantis starts running their special. Can't guarantee it will happen again this year but anyone traveling in early Dec should definitely keep watching the rates.

There were three in our party, two adults and a teenager. And the $80 was the base rate, not including tax and the housekeeping/energy surcharges. I just pulled up my old reservation from last Dec and unless their policy has changed it looks like you would be paying an extra $20 in surcharges for both adults but nothing for either of the kids since they're under age 12.

One other thing, make sure you're aware of their cancelation policy...it's not up until 6 pm of the day of arrival like we're used to here in the U.S. (my most recent reservation was 5 days prior).

Thanks for the tip...I'll keep my eye on it..;)...The cancellation policy said up until Sat the 6th. 4pm, I beleieve it was..we plan on arriving on monday the 8th..but even if the charges are 40 pp its still cheaper than doing it thru Disney since we will have access to the beaches as well as Aqua Adventure..:)
Thanks again...:)
