Hmmm. The article is from 2017, which makes a lot of the suppositions in it outdated and moot.

It's fun to speculate but given that Disney just plowed Reflections under and is removing the last of the construction trailers, it will probably be a while before there's capital to spend on a new hotel built from the ground up.

Even if something was in the works in 2017 (big if) the pandemic likely changed things.
