Hi, I am running into issues finding a hotel after the cruise. We are on the 7 night 11/26 cruise. Have a room for the 25th, (Raddison) but didn't book 12/3 because we weren't sure how the return tickets were going to be until recently (we are using miles).

We looked at Ron Jon's, but they are all non-smoking, so that won't work. (Please, no comments, we smoke outside, but they ask you to volunteer to not smoke outside). Many places are placing a 3 night minium.

I looked at the Orlando area hotels, but want to stay away from Disney World. We don't have time to visit, and if we can see it, it may break a few hearts. I would love to have a taste of Disney, but cannot be near the park itself.

I am looking for some place my 6 year old daughter can have fun, but also where adults can have an adult beverage and talk. There are 3 adults; husband, mother, daughter and self, so a one bedroom suite is what we normally get so that the adults can talk after she is in bed.

I know there is a post somewhere around here (that is how I found the Radisson) but I can't find it. Here is how I am seeing this. (Please tell me if I am crazy.

Airport to Radisson (FL Tours)
Radisson to cruise (taxi)
cruise to ? Hotel - if near cruise taxi else FL Tours
Hotel to airport - FL Tours or taxi.

Wowser, this is long. Sorry for the ramble, but don't know what to cut out.

THX!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, have you looked at dcltribute.com? THere is a lot of information there on hotes, as well as MANY other topics..

ALso, the Radisson has a shuttle to the port for a very inexpensive price, this may save a bit, if you decide to take it..Personally, we take the taxi, as we like to arrive as early as possible...

Hope this helps.. :goodvibes

we like the airport hyatt. they have a nice rooftop swimming pool (heated-we've used in january) that did not prohibit smoking when were last there. the rooms are nice and comfortable, the t.v.'s show more than just disney cartoons ("sponge bob i missed you so much"-my son following our last cruise :goodvibes). the executive level rooms while not suites are well sized and do have private balconies (i hate having to get into a robe and walk outside at 3 a.m. to have my nicotine fix!) they have a nice restaurant and bar, also can do roomservice.

what we like about it is that we don't have to worry about getting off to the airport early the day of departure. the hotel can coordinate help getting your luggage to the airline check in, and you can always get your boarding passes then go back to the room and go down to the gate awhile later, they also can do a late check out time.

we have found that the kids are pretty exhausted after the cruise so beyond t.v. and maybe some coloring...they crash out (esp. after getting to streeeetch out in a normal sized bathtub). we enjoy the down time to regroup before we head back home.

they are not asking for a 3 nite minimum for the nite you want.

happy cruising :wizard:

The Nick Hotel in Orlando has one bedroom suites and your DD would love it. Not much for adult entertainment though.

Is Downtown Disney too close to the parks? If not, there is a lot of stuff your daughter could do there, as in the Lego shop, little playground and other shops, and there are a ton of adult options as well. There are quite a few hotels on Hotel Plaza, I think, though I don't know how many have suites.

I only know downtown Disney in CA, and the parks are right there. I have never been to FL, being an AZ resident. I am looking at the Resort at Cocoa Beach... thanks to the Disney tribute website suggestion. Any input? It looks like it has been awhile since input.

Love the idea of TV for the kid. She is 6, do you think same rules apply?

Thanks everyone for the help, please, keep it coming. I almost feel like I am ready to quit planning for my relaxing vacation. :teeth:
