My family are DW vets and next year, we are thinking about making our first trip to DL. To save money we are looking to stay in a good neighbor hotel. It will be my wife and me as well as our two sons (9 and 4). Ideally we would like to stay in a hotel that is walkable to the entrance to the parks.

My two boys don't do well sharing a bed, so we are looking for a room/suite that has at least three beds (a pull out is ok). Does anyone have any good hotel suggestions that would fit my family? We would be traveling at the end of August 2020.

I have booked the Grand Legacy at The Park. Granted, I haven’t stayed there yet, but it is super close on Harbor Blvd. We have 2 queens and they have a rolloaway available. You can’t beat the price $105/night we got for our Spring break trip later this month. I can use the extra money on fun stuff at the Parks.

We have really enjoyed the Kids Suites at the HOJO which is well within comfortable walking distance - about 8 minutes in fact when we've timed it. They have a King size bed for parents in one room and bunk beds and a pull out in the other - two washrooms and two tvs make life very comfortable in this configuration. They have a discount for members of this forum - so if you call them directly they can book you something with that discount - I believe it's around 15% off?

Thanks. I was actually just looking at the HOJO too and noticed the kids suites. We are also AAA members so that helps a little bit also.

We are actually staying at castle inn and suites this visit and im pretty excited about it, they have great reviews and we are staying in the family suite with 2 queen size beds and a king size bed the queen are in a room the king by its self and its a very short walk!!...we have stayed a park vue in right across the crosswalk before in a queen w bunkbeds and enjoyed free breakfast and parking but ive heard they charge a resort fee now

I’ve stayed at a fair amount of the hotels on Harbor and can’t say that I’ve had a problem with any of them. Hojo was the most resort like from my experience, but if you’re looking for just a safe and clean place to rest every night, they are all going to suffice.

That said, whichever is the cheapest option for your needs should work. I would ask if any have a roll away bed available. That should satisfy the need for a 3rd bed without having to search for larger accommodations.

Any of the ones across the street will do, depending on what you want for amenities. If you like a good pool and play area for the kids, HoJo is awesome, though a few minutes longer walk. If all you want is a place to crash and shower, Desert Inn & Suites will usually be the cheapest, especially when you book way out. I've stayed at DI&S a couple of times-- it's right at the crosswalk. It's reasonably clean, and they have "parlor suites" with 2 queens and a fold-out bed in a little tv room at the outside entrance. Or a family suite with two rooms, 2 queens each, and a connecting door. However, their tiny indoor pool is pretty lame, as is their "continental" breakfast. But you can generally get the parlor suite for around $130 a night. After the last time staying there, way at the back of the property, air conditioner a bit noisy and shower pressure dismal, I swore I'd stay at Best Western PPI or Grand Legacy at the park. But they're consistently 60-100 bucks more a night. So back we go in DI&S in Sept! We have the family suite of 2 rooms for $233 a night-- I'd have to pay that for a single room with 2 queens at Courtyard or Holiday Inn Express, behind Fairfield Inn.

Thank you all very much. We are so used to be "in the world" and having everything taken care of for us. This is a change, but we are excited!
